Overview:

The LCK (Lymphocyte-Specific Protein Tyrosine Kinase) SH3 domain is a structural domain found in the LCK protein, a member of the Src family kinases. SFKs are critical regulators of signaling apthways involved in immune cell activation, including T-cell receptor (TCR) signaling. The SH3 domain in LCK, like other SH3 domains, play a key role in mediating protein-protein interactions, particularly with proline-rich motifs in target proteins. SH3 domains are modular protein domains with about 50-70 amino acids in length, known for their ability to bind to specific proline-rich motifs in other proteins.
