The Echinopora forskaliana chromo-red fluorescent GFP-like protein (red protein) demonstrated in red or pink color in E.coli cultures and distributed intracellularly(1). The red color of the protein can be seen by the naked eye and can be used as a reporter in the experiments in vivo (1).
