Overview:
TSSK6 or testis-specific serine kinase 6 is a member of the CAMK (calcium/calmodulin-dependent) serine/threonine protein kinase family which is required for postmeiotic chromatin remodeling and male fertility (1). Tssk6-null spermatozoa have impaired DNA condensation. TSSK6 is highly expressed in testis. TSSK6 is present in the equatorial segment of human sperm (2).
