Overview:
JNK2 is a member of the MAP kinase group that is activated by dual phosphorylation at thr and tyr residues during exposure to stress such as UV irradiation and treatment of cells with TNFα. JNK2 binds to the c-Jun transactivation domain and phosphorylates it on Ser-63 and Ser-73 (1). JNK2 has been shown to play an important role in disease processes. JNK2 plays a role in ventricular hypertrophy and is thought to be involved in hypertensive cardiac disease (2).

Specificity:
Recognizes only the JNK2 protein
Cross Reactivity:
Immunoprecipitation of human JNK2
Western blot of human JNK2.
JNK2 from other species may also be detectable.
Host / Isotype / Clone#:
Mouse, IgG2, 2G12
Immunogen:
Human recombinant full length JNK2 protein
Purification:
Affinity purified using Protein G
Stability:
Store at 4°C (add 0.1% NaN3) for several months, and at -20°C for longer periods. For optimal storage, aliquot target into smaller quantities after centrifugation and store at recommended temperature. For optimal performance, avoid repeated handling and multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
Sample Immunoprecipitation:
Representative immunoprecipitation (2μL of anti-JNK2) using 20ng of GST-JNK2 recombinant protein.
Sample Western Blot:
Representative western blot (1:1000) using 20ng of GST-JNK1, GST-JNK2, and GST-JNK3 recombinant protein.
