Overview:

GSK3β is a serine threonine protein kinase that was originally identified as the kinase that phosphorylates and inhibits glycogen synthase (1). GSK3β is ubiquitously present in human tissues and implicated in the regulation of several physiological processes, including the control of glycogen and protein synthesis by insulin, modulation of the transcription factors AP-1 and CREB.

Specificity:

Anti-GSK3β antibody recognizes the GSK3β protein.

Cross Reactivity:

GSK3b from Human and Mouse

GSK3b from other species may also be detectable.

Host / Isotype / Clone#:

Mouse, IgG1, 6C2

Immunogen:

Recombinant full length active GSK3β protein

Purification:

Affinity purified using Protein G

Stability:

Store at 4°C (add 0.1% NaN3) for several months, and at -20°C for longer periods. For optimal storage, aliquot target into smaller quantities after centrifugation and store at recommended temperature. For optimal performance, avoid repeated handling and multiple freeze/thaw cycles.

Sample Data:

Representative western blot (1:2500) using 10μg, 20μg, and 40μg of HeLa cell lysate.
