Overview:
SUMO3 is a member of the SUMO (small ubiquitin-like modifier) protein family which functions in a manner similar to ubiquitin. SUMO3 is bound to target proteins as part of a post-translational modification system and modifies numerous cellular proteins and affect their metabolism and function. SUMO3 is involved in a variety of cellular processes, such as nuclear transport, transcriptional regulation, apoptosis, and protein stability (1). SUMO3 predominantly detected in the cytoplasm (2).

Specificity:
Recognizes the SUMO3 protein
Cross Reactivity:
Human, Mouse and Rat
Host / Isotype / Clone#:
Rabbit, IgG
Immunogen:
SUMO3 antibody was raised against a 13 amino acid synthetic peptide near the carboxy terminus of human SUMO3.
Purification:
Affinity chromatography
Stability:
Store at 4oC (add 0.1% NaN3) for several months, and at -20oC for longer periods. For optimal storage, aliquot target into smaller quantities after centrifugation and store at recommended temperature. For most favorable performance, avoid repeated handling and multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
Sample Data:
Western blot analysis of SUMO3 in mouse liver tissue lysate with SUMO3 antibody at (A) 1 ug/ml and (B) 2 ug/ml.
Sample Data:
Immunohistochemistry of SUMO3 in rat liver tissue with SUMO3 antibody at 5 ug/ml.
